Here’s Why You Might Want Sonic To Make Their New Menu Item A Permanent Fixture
Oh how Sonic takes me back to my childhood. There was something special about eating those delicious burgers and tots in the car. And, the chili cheese fries hold a special place in our hearts. Plus, don’t even get me started on my love of Sonic onion rings! But, Sonic’s new menu item might be one fans lobby to make permanent. It’s Sonic Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites.
Here’s what Sonic Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites are. So, it’s a mixture of chicken, Buffalo sauce and melted cheddar cheese inside a dough wrapper. Then, it’s fried until crispy. I’m getting dumpling or empanada vibes. Or, maybe it even reminds me of the pierogies I use so much in my cooking.
But, whatever it reminds you of, apparently the new Sonic Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites have social media all abuzz. Also, customers describe them as almost like a wonton with the shredded buffalo chicken and cheese inside. And, they point out you need to request your favorite sauce when ordering the new menu item. Of course, my mind goes to ranch. Comicbook.com says the bites are available nationwide at participating locations for a limited time, early access on the app for now.
We talked the other day with a younger co-worker who didn’t remember the little plastic colorful animals from yesteryear at Sonic. It reminded my of getting a prize in the cereal box. It was exciting to see which one you got on your drink cup. They had pink, purple, blue or green monkeys and elephants and so many more. And, we’re huge fans of the “Sonic ice.” There’s nothing like it. Our family in Texas drives through Sonic just to take home bags of ice.
Well, enough reminiscing. I look forward to trying the Sonic Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites on my next visit! Check here for locations near you.
7 Fast Food Restaurants We Wish Would Come To North Carolina
We do have some good fast food here in North Carolina. I know I personally could not live without Chick-fil-a. No matter how long the line is I seem to end up there at least once a week. And North Carolina’s own Bojangles and Cookout is a southern staple. Of course, we have all the heavy hitter chains like Mcdonalds’, Burger King, Wendy’s, etc. But just like Bojangles and Cookout are North Carolina institutions there are chains local to other parts of the country that we (unfortunately) don’t have here. If you’ve traveled outside of the state chances are you’ve had the chance to dine at a fast food restaurant that we don’t have in North Carolina. And some of them leave you begging for them to open one up here.
When Shake Shack opened its first Charlotte location the line was wrapped around the building for weeks with people desperate to try it. Chains are going more national now, I think Chick-fil-a has finally made it to California. With that in mind, I created this list of 7 fast food restaurants I wish would come to North Carolina. Some that could be a possibility as they have started coming closer to this area. A few only have locations in southern California making a North Carolina expansion highly unlikely. A girl can dream though. I’m planning a trip next month to Arizona where I’ll get to try some of these for the first time. Cannot wait! Have you tried any of these restaurants or know of any others you’d like to see here? Let us know!
