This lady shares her secrets on how she has lived this long.  An absolutely beautiful North Carolina woman is celebrating her 106th birthday.

Gussie Dennis lives in Huntersville, North Carolina and celebrated this milestone Thursday with her family and friends.  Here is a little bit about Gussie.   She was born in 1917 in Greenville, South Carolina.  She was raised one of 9 kids as sharecroppers.

Her daughter Denise tells WBTV, “I admire her strength, her strength of mind gives me inspiration to go ahead and do what I have to do.”  Dennis reportedly lived on that farm for decades.  She reportedly worked in a hospital before earning her teaching certificate and taught other people for many years.  Wow, what an incredible life!

You think about what this amazing woman has seen and done in her 106 years on this earth. She worked so hard for decades, she lived through the civil rights era.  Dennis tells the television station she has seen the world change for the better.  Of course we want to know what the secret is to her long and successful life.  It's pretty simple.  Put God first, Gussie Dennis says.
