93 Year Old Bachelor Weds Woman He Met 64 Years Ago
It is never too late for love. 93 year old Joseph Potenzano recently married his longtime love. This is Joseph’s first time down the aisle. So what is so special this time that he hasn’t found with any other girl?
This New Jersey couple met 64 years ago at a wedding. Mary Elkind, his beloved, was the maid of honor at a wedding back then and Joseph was best man. Sparks didn’t fly between these two lovebirds til decades later. Joe tells Local 12 television, “I began to feel that loneliness that only comes at 90 years old”. When they met, Joe thought Mary was a pretty girl but didn’t take his shot. Mary went on to be a ballerina in New York. Joseph joined the Army.
The two were connected over the year through family. Finally at long last Joe invited Mary (then widowed) out for coffee. Sparks flew. Joe said it is really simple. They fell in love.
