Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina is offering drastically reduced tuition to residents who need to complete that degree.
The new program, known as “CCU Complete,” offers a reduced rate one semester tuition incentive, according to WMBF. And, through the CCU Complete program students deemed eligible take up to 5 online courses for $100 each in one semester. And, trust me, as a parent of a CCU student, that’s a great deal!
According to the guidelines, the student needs to be a current resident in South Carolina with college credit, but no degree. And, former students can participate as long as they haven’t been enrolled at CCU for 4 consecutive semesters.
Of course, I know this probably applies to so many folks. I get it. Even with the best of intentions to finish that schooling life intervenes and plans change. And, for some that’s perfectly fine. However, others simply want to finish what they started. Or, their career path improves with a degree. So, this is a great way to help put more folks into the local workforce.
