Watch: Soldier Surprises Son As A School Mascot
This never gets old. No matter how many times I see video of soliders returning home and surprising their families, this ol boy gets choked up. A returning solder surprises his son as a school mascot after being away for a year.
WLWT in Ohio is reporting that Sargeant Perry Chronister recently surprised his seven year old son Eli. It was a special day because it was Eli’s first day of school. Perry had been gone a long time, nearly a year. He was stationed in the Middle East.
He dressed in the school’s tiger mascot costume and visited his son’s class. Of course his son didn’t recognize him with the mascot head on so he took it off and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Perry had to miss Eli’s birthday as well as Christmas but he did not miss his first day of school.
The video is precious, check it out right here.
