Keith Urban and I have something in common. We both have had jobs that we just did not like at all. Keith Urban says this was his worst job ever.

Everythingnash.com says his worst job was as a telemarketer. The website quotes him as saying, “I was talking to this lady from a florist, and she was so sweet and she says ‘oh I’d say I send out about three letters a week, love’. And then that is when Keith was supposed to sell her the product. But he doesn’t

He tells Everything Nash that he actually talked the lady out of buying the product saying, “you don’t need thing thing, it costs a fortune. You don’t need it”. Ya gotta love his honesty but he didn’t get to keep that gig long. I’m pretty confident that Keith came up in the world after that. The music thing panned out.

I have been working since I was 13 years old and I have been everything from a Captain in the Fire Department to radio, Before all that I was cutting grass for a living and I hated it. It wasn’t the work that bothered me, it was the fact that I was actually allergic to grass.

Country music has a long history of couples making music together. Back in the 1970s, George Jones and Tammy Wynette’s marriage and then divorce was a source of fascination. Especially as the couple continued to perform duets together after their divorce. Nowadays, we look to country music couple Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn, who scored a number one with the sensational song and video “Thank God.” That video won the top prize at the 2023 CMT Awards for Video of the Year. In a moment the couple shared on stage when they accepted the honor, Katelyn gushed, “This is all so new to me, and when we recorded this song a year ago, I never in my life would ever think that this was going to happen.”

The Browns chart-topper also made history, becoming the first husband and wife to top the country music charts since Tim and Faith did so in 1997 with “It’s Your Love.”

Today (8/18) is National Couples Day. It’s a day for couples to commemorate their journey together. It’s a great day to remember to spend time together and cherish and celebrate the bond that the couple shares.
