South Carolina Woman Shares Secret To Being 108
A South Carolina woman is sharing her secret to being 108 years old. Her name is Lake White, cool name by the way, and she recently hit that number. Family and friends gathered around on her special day and the question had to be asked. How do you get to live to be 108 years old?
Lake was born in Pickens, South Carolina on September 1, 1915. Lake sure is a beautiful little lady that has lived her life well. She tended a huge garden, canning and freezing vegetables. According to Channel 4 she was an excellent seamstress back in the day. She and her husband Orville had two children.
According to WYFF, Lake had this to say when she was asked how she lived as long as she has. “She answered with a quote from Exodus 20:12”, “Honor thy Father and thy Mother that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
