Shania Twain has her sights set on a major pop star to collaborate on an album with. After Adele performed one of her Las Vegas residency shows in November, she was left starstruck when she discovered the "You're Still The One Singer" secretly attended her show. The "Rolling In The Deep" singer admitted she “would have self-combusted had I seen it was you” and added: "I adore you." A few months later, in February, the singer-songwriters met at the Grammy Awards, and Twain expressed to Adele how she's wanted to team up with her since.

Why Adele?

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the Canadian country star said," I would love to sing with her. I think we would blend beautifully together. Obviously, that would be amazing. She’s a great singer and has her own style that is unique. She’s a character on stage, too. She’s a fabulous performer. She’s so funny. I like her a lot." This isn't the first time Twain expressed wanting to collaborate with a popular artist. In April, Twain told ET how meeting Megan Thee Stallion at the 2023 CMT Music Awards made her interested in doing a musical collaboration. She told the outlet at the time that she thinks "that would really work… I love her whole mind." Twain also expressed how she'd like to collaborate with Alanis Morissette. She said of the “Ironic” singer: “We’ve crossed paths so many times over the years, and we just never did work together. We should, of course, as fellow Canadians.”

Come On Over Vegas Residency

When asked about what five songs she would like to perform in Vegas for her Come On Over Residency next May, Twain declared, "How can I not start with 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!'? I mean, it just never gets old." Next up, she listed "You're Still The One," adding that so many people come to Vegas to celebrate, especially couples, who get "all emotional. So it's very special for me." Twain then listed "From This Moment On" and said people "actually get engaged to that song at the show. That's kind of cool." The next song Twain listed was "That Don't Impress Me Much," which is a really fun one to do in Vegas because "so many people come in a leopard print outfit." Saving the best for last, Twain said the song she is "really, really looking forward to playing live in Vegas is 'Giddy Up!'" Of her 2023 track, Twain says everyone sings along with it on the tour.

Shania and Adele's Tour Schedules

Shania has also spent much of this year touring following the release of her latest album, Queen Of Me, and will kick off her UK tour this Thursday in Glasgow. She also teased lots of new music in the works, telling The Sun, "I’ve got so much music that I wrote over the lockdown periods because I was, out of sheer boredom, needing an outlet for my creativity. I wrote a ton of stuff. I’ve got enough to make at least two albums right now. That’s been building up, and I plan on making a new record as soon as I can." Meanwhile, Adele has just concluded weekend 26 of her Weekends With Adele Vegas Residency. The British singer extended her residency until November and will be releasing concert footage for fans who want to watch the show in its full glory.
