New Location Of Culinary Dropout Opens In North Carolina
I get so excited when a new restaurant announces an opening near me. And, this one looks really fun and delicious. Officially, a new location of Culinary Dropout North Carolina is open. Find the spot known for amazing food and live music at 1120 South Tryon Street in Charlotte’s South End.
And, in case you’re wondering, the unique name has a story. Culinary Dropout is the creation of founder Sam Fox who chose the name based on his experience dropping out of culinary school to open his first restaurant. The Culinary Dropout website boasts of “Damn good food for damn good people.”
So, whether it’s beer and pretzels with provolone fondue or cocktails and slow braised 36-hour pork ribs, Culinary Dropout North Carolina is the ticket. Or, choose from their elevated bar bites, salads, sandwiches and pizzas. And, they bring food together with live music on Thursdays-Sundays. Plus, there’s big screens for game watching. And, special events including yoga in the yard. Not to mention, the beer and cocktail list is extensive.
Culinary Dropout has locations in Arizona, Colorado and Texas with plans to expand to Atlanta and Birmingham. Founder Sam Fox is the culinary genius behind spots including North Italia and Flowerchild. So, we’re familiar with his work.
And, Culinary Dropout is open for brunch with bubbles and mimosas and a spicy serrano bloody mary. The brunch menu is equally big with breakfast sandwiches and pizzas and a whole lot more. 13 Hidden Gem Restaurants In The Charlotte North Carolina Area
There is no shortage of fantastic restaurants in Charlotte. And it seems more are opening by the day. Many of these high-profile spots are delicious and we’ve told you about plenty of them. But now it’s time to delve into some different restaurants. Not necessarily the newest or the trendiest, but definitely some of the best. Many of these places you’ve probably driven past hundreds of times and maybe never given a second thought. Or perhaps you’ve thought “We should try that sometime” and just never have. These are what we like to call hidden gem restaurants and there are numerous in Charlotte and the surrounding area. Some are Charlotte institutions, some are on the newer side.
To create this list, I added some of my personal favorites as well as consulted with friends and family on some places they thought fit this description. These hidden gem restaurants in Charlotte offer a wide variety of cuisine from Italian, the Mexican, to Greek, Asian, and just good ole homestyle cooking. A few things are for certain after looking at all these restaurants, I’m now hungry, and it will be a while before I say “I don’t know where I want to eat”.
