Video: North Carolina Girl’s Hilarious And Bizarre Request For A Bedtime Story Goes Viral

Kids definitely keep us on our toes.  And, I'm sure parents and child care providers have scores of tales.  However, this video tops them all.  A North Carolina girl asked her nanny to read the family's coffee machine instruction manual for a bedtime story.  You can't make this stuff up!  Forget "Goodnight, Moon" or Dr. Seuss.  Apparently, there's nothing more soothing than a good tome about operating the coffee machine.

According to WSAZ, Megan Mordaunt is an au pair in Charlotte.  And, she shared the experience on TikTok as she read the coffee instruction manual aloud to the  young girl.  The 3 year old could have chosen any number of traditional children's books.  However, when bedtime rolled around she wanted to drift off to sleep learning how to operate the iced coffee machine.  And, she made the coffee machine bedtime story request.

So, Mordaunt obliged.  And, the video went viral.  And, when you think about it, how brilliant is that request?  I can't imagine anything that would put me to sleep faster than an instruction manual for any product.  However, I think for a degree of difficulty the au pair needs to tackle the manual in another language next time!

It makes you wonder what goes through the mind of a child, though.  I have many questions.  How did the child even decide upon something so funny and bizarre as a bedtime story request?  Does she like coffee?  Will she become a barista one day?  And, was it all she hoped it would be?  Of course, the family might be surprised when they come home and the toddler offers to serve them a nice cup of iced coffee!  Anyway, enjoy this adorable little slice of life as this North Carolina girl's bizarre request for a bedtime story is granted.
