‘Twin Love’ Reality Dating Show Includes Identical Twins From Charlotte North Carolina
I usually dismiss most reality dating shows. However, I really want to give ‘Twin Love’ a try. Furthermore, the local spin for us is the show includes a set of identical twins from Charlotte, North Carolina. According to AXIOS Charlotte, Twin Love premieres on Prime Video November 17. And, the premise is quite interesting to me.
So, Twin Love takes 10 sets of identical twins and divides them up into two different houses. Then, there’s “identical casts” of the opposite sex as well. I had to read the plan a couple of times to digest the way it works. But, the show looks to explore whether identical twins choose to date identical twin sets. In other words, will twin sisters date identical twin brothers?
And, the twist is the twin siblings have no communication with their counterpart. So, they can’t talk about who they plan to date or manipulate the experiment. I find that aspect fascinating. We always hear about that “twin connection.” It’s a phenomenon of identical twins that is so interesting. Often times they tell stories of knowing when the other is in trouble. And, they sometimes do make similar life choices spontaneously.
But, Cameron and Ceara McKegney of Charlotte will find out soon enough if they have that experience when they appear on Twin Love. For those of you familiar with “Love Island,” this show comes from the same producers. The McKegney twins’ bios indicate they are models with a Greensboro talent agency. And, they were born only a minute apart 25 years ago.
Ok, I’m all in on this one. I realize many times these “reality” shows are far from reality, with a fair bit of script and manipulation. However, I think this has potential to play out organically with interesting results. For more, read the full story on AXIOS Charlotte.
