The Key To Living A Long And Happy Life

Almost every person at some point has wondered how some people live for so long. According to CNBC, there is one aspect that the oldest Americans have said is the key to a happy long life.

The one thing that was found to be a core belief of all of these old and wise individuals is the idea that time is finite.  They say that the number one key to a long and happy life is recognizing this and realizing that you shouldn't spend your time regretting things.

When the older people in your life say that lie is short thy aren't telling you that to bring down the mood. They're trying to get you should always prioritize what makes you happy instead of dealing with a bad situation just hoping that it will magically change.

Many people who have lived past 80 have said that their biggest regret was worrying about the things that never happened. One person even said that worrying will waste your life.

When asked what the most valuable things you can do with your life are that answers were all fairly similar. Many said that it's good to prioritize the things that make you happy, work a job that you love, and choose the correct romantic partner. Some other things they said were good to do is showing the people that you care about how much you love them and spending as much time as you can with your family and children.

The main thing that older people said wasn't worth their time was working super hard to try and be wealthy. No one said that money makes you happy, that you should pick a job just for the money, or that you needed to have as much money as the people around you.

November is one of my favorite months because we are able to enjoy that brisk cool weather with the beauty of Fall all around us. The leaves are beautiful colors and we are getting cozy with our favorite hoodies and sweaters. It's time to have some fun this month and decide what exactly you want to do.

I know I love hanging out in the Fall and finding such fun things to do. Although Thanksgiving is happening during the month and you get time with your family in the house, spend some time out in the streets too. It's one of the only times during the year that the entire family can get together and enjoy some fun. So, what are your plans this November? Have you ever seen the movie the Polar Express? It is one of my favorite Christmas movies and allows me to really enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Explore the magic of Christmas and all of the holiday cheer right here in North Carolina. The Polar Express Train Ride begins November 9th in the Great Smoky Mountains. Enjoy the Polar Express experience both November and December and experience the magic of the holidays.

Starting November 17, you can enjoy the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival in Cary, North Carolina. The festival will last until January 2024 and allows you to experience the beauty of Chinese artisans. With more than 40 different displays, see thousands of LED lights used to make beautiful art in this annual festival experience.

Celebrate the holidays and be thankful with your entire family at the Charlotte Thanksgiving Parade. This year will be the 77th annual Thanksgiving Eve Parade happening Wednesday, November 22. See the parade live and in person by camping out in the Uptown area or check it out on television.

Do you enjoy country music? Well, have some fun at Country 103.7's Stage of Stars event happening November 15 at Coyote Joe's in the Charlotte area. It's your chance to see so many of your favorite country artists live. See Jake Owen, Brett Young, Jackson Dean, and Russell Dickerson all together on one stage. 

Enjoy another year of the Charlotte Turkey Trot. The Charlotte trot is one of the country's best Turkey Trots to date. Happening Thanksgiving morning, you can participate in the fun. Enjoy so many things from an 8K run, 5K run/walk, and a 1 mile event as well.
