This place is no stranger for "all the tourists covered with oil". Of course, these days it's sunscreen but I digress. This popular South Carolina city is planning its own Margaritaville resort. I will bet you can't guess where it's going.
Maybe you did guess that Myrtle Beach is the South Carolina city that is planning its own Margaritaville resort. The brand was created by the late great Jimmy Buffett and his empire is growing. There are plans to build the resort along 17th Avenue North and Withers Drive in Myrtle Beach. My husband Rick and I stayed in one of Jimmy's Margaritaville resorts in St. Thomas. And trust me, if you like Jimmy Buffett it is full immersion. Everything there is designed with parrot heads in mind. And if you are one, you will be in hog or parrot heaven.
Myrtle Beach mayor Beth Bethune tells our source, postandcourier.com, “The type of clientele that Margaritaville attracts in their other locations is not only the Myrtle Beach visitor, but I think it will bring new visitors here that know who their brand is and want to experience what they have to offer". She goes on to say it is the perfect brand for Myrtle Beach. Right you are! Since we know how perfect these resorts are firsthand (in St Thomas), you can be sure we will be paying a visit.
We don't know all the details yet like the number of rooms or time of construction. The hotel will include restaurants, bakeries, bars, ball rooms and more. Sometime in the future we could be nibbling on sponge cake, and watching the sun bake. This popular South Carolina city is planning its own Margaritaville resort. Myrtle Beach Is Home To Two Of Yelp’s Top Ice Cream Shops 2023
It's not summer without dipping into some ice cream. My go-to flavor is any form of cake batter/birthday cake with sprinkles in a waffle cone. Yes, you could describe that order as one of a 5-year-old, but it's still delicious! I don't go for ice cream too often, but I do love to grab a cone when I'm on vacation especially. And there is no shortage of ice cream shops in Myrtle Beach. It seems there is one on every corner. And with well-known chains and locally owned options, it can be hard to know what to choose. That's why Yelp has created a list of the top 100 ice cream shops nationwide. And 2 Myrtle Beach South Carolina Ice Cream shops made the list.
Both are locally owned spots, one with a rich history and another a newer favorite. Additionally, 5 North Carolina shops made the list as well. Below you'll find all 6 of the Carolina ice cream shops that received this recognition. Proceed with caution though, you'll be craving a scoop of delicious ice cream soon. No matter what flavor ranks the best for you, one of these places is sure to have what you crave.
