Everybody likes to have a good night’s rest. Some couples find it difficult to do with a partner tossing and turning. So they head to separate bedrooms. North Carolina couples rank 5th in the nation for ‘Sleep Divorce.’
I keep a very early wake-up schedule. So my wife and I have slept in separate rooms for a long time. It doesn’t mean we don’t get along. It just makes it easier to get a good night’s sleep.
The sleep experts at MattressNextDay asked Americans if they’ve ever slept in a separate room from their partners. The results were fascinating. Looks like lots of us do.

Experts say you should approach the topic with your partner’s feelings in mind. Sleep is very important for your health. Maybe suggest a trial period just to see if it works.
Couples in North Carolina ‘Sleep Divorce’ a lot. Georgia tops the list, but North Carolina isn’t far behind in 5th place.
