The Chick- Fil- A at 8428 University Boulevard just opened on Thursday at College Downs. According to our source, The Charlotte Observer, a Hardee’s restaurant was demolished in that location. New renovations began in June to make way for the latest Chick- Fil- A. This popular chicken restaurant just keeps growing in North Carolina. It has only been a week since the franchise added a store at 957 North Wendover Road.
In all there are over 60 locations in Charlotte from the Atanta based chain. Not only are there lots of locations to choose from in the Charlotte area and that is good for fans of the food. But it also means lots of employment opportunities. For example, the new North Charlotte store alone will employ 100 workers.
There is no question, the Charlotte area loves chicken. Chick-Fil-A and other chicken chains have been steadily flooding in since the mid-seventies according to the Charlotte Observer. What is it about Chick-Fil-A that North Carolinians find so irresistible? I can only speak for myself but there is just something about their classic sandwich.
