Lincolnton North Carolina Grandma Wins Carolina Keno’s Biggest Prize On A Special Day

The largest prize in Carolina Keno history was won by a North Carolina grandmother. This Lincolnton Grandma won Carolina Keno's biggest prize on a special day. Friday was Nancy Bourget's birthday.

Birthdays are great anyway, but when you win 200k, that makes it even better. After taxes, the grandma of five will take home $141,407 .

Nancy strolled into the Raceway on East Main Street in early January and walked out a whole lot wealthier.

CBS17 says,  Bourget is a grandma to 5 children, and she plans to save some of the winning money for her grandchildren.

“I want to look out for their future,” she said. “I’m really excited for them.”

In terms of lottery jackpot winners, New Hampshire and North Carolina share the gold for the luckiest states. Residents in New Hampshire have won a total of $693.7 million, which is an average of $346.85 million per winning ticket. As one of the states with the highest percentage of people who have won over $300 million, New Hampshire has the third smallest population.
