A North Carolina woman wins big lottery prize after her boyfriend gifts her a ticket for her birthday. Latonya Louden is from Pineville and her upcoming birthday just got a whole lot happier.

Latonya tells the North Carolina Education Lottery officials,"I was in disbelief". She claimed the top prize Wednesday in the 5$ Power Cashword. It's a simple scratch off game that paid off big time. She goes on to tell lottery officials, "I've never won anything like this". She won a whopping $150,000.

Latonya had some birthday luck going on. Lottery officials say the chance of winning big are 1 in 3.83 million according to the Power Cashword game page. Now of course taxes will have to be taken out but Latonya still get a big fat check. After those taxes are taken out she takes home $107,251. Not bad.
