North Carolina Restaurant Gets 10th “B” Due To Pesky Flies, Poor Food Prep and Dirty Kitchen

Health inspectors do not play. It is their job to go over every inch of an eating establishment to look for things like those pesky disgusting flies or improperly stored food. Or even employees who do not adequately wash their hands. One North Carolina restaurant gets 10th "B" due to reported flies, poor food prep and dirty kitchen equipment.

According to a report in the Charlotte Observer, this restaurant in the northern part of the Queen City received it's 2nd "B" grade in less than 12 months. The Mecklenburg County Health Department cited the establishment for several health violations. Those violations include insects present in the establishment as well as dirty kitchen equipment.

The Cottage Restaurant restaurant at 1704 Harris Houston Rd in Charlotte received the new "B" during the May 23rd inspection. The county documents reportedly show "several flies" in the kitchen. Our source, the Charlotte Observer also lists these violations: they cited an "employee that hadn't washed their hands properly, raw tuna and salmon stored over cook kitchen, as well as dirty floors and kitchen equipment" among other things.

According to the Charlotte Observer, The Cottage Restaurant has also received 3 "C" grades in the past. The last one was in August 2022. State law says that restaurant permits are revoked immediately if they receive a score less than 70.

It researched the local staycation preferences of Chinese tourists, as well as staycation information from the U.S., Netherlands and Indonesia.

Using vacation time to plan a big party for friends is a good use of that time. Instead of traveling around the world, bring to world to you. Invite lots of your good friends, and spend some of the cash you would have on a vacation for your party. It'll be the party of the year. Make that decade.
