2 South Carolina Hotels Voted Among Best Hotels In The World
It’s a hot travel season right now, literally. And, things are heating up with the latest travel survey naming 2 South Carolina hotels among the best hotels in the world.
Travel+Leisure just released their annual ‘World’s Best Awards’ list naming readers’ preferences for everything from favorite cities to visit, favorite spas and hotels. Considering that the list encompasses impressive spots globally, including 38 countries, I’m knocked out that South Carolina showed up twice!
The publication says voters considered style and service of the 100 best hotels in the world. And, every winner scored higher than 97 on the 100 point survey. More than 700,000 votes were cast to arrive at the list.
South Carolina Spots Voted Among Best Hotels In The World
So, which South Carolina hotels were voted among best hotels in the world? First, we begin with Hotel Hartness in Greenville, South Carolina. It’s number 24 on Travel+Leisure’s list. But, it’s the No. 1 best resort in South Carolina.
The charming spot is a 73 suite, family owned hotel inspired by the design of the Hartness family home. The hotel is described as modern, yet welcoming. It also boasts a full service spa and 2 dining choices. It’s score in the survey was 98.80.
Next, we move onto The Willcox in Aiken, South Carolina. It’s further down the list of best hotels in the world. But, it still scores a whopping 97.88 among voters. It’s described as having “quintessential Southern charm.”
Voters rave about the top notch service. And, many love the cocktail making course available for guests, concierge arranged picnic baskets and couples massages with in-spa private dinners. That sounds fabulous.
I actually lived near Aiken for a bit. I never knew this gem was here. But, it’s worth a road trip for sure! It’s those little touches that make certain spots stand out among others. After all, we are talking about the world’s best.
