A NASCAR icon son has earned a spot in the playoffs. Harrison Burton earned a playoff spot with a dramatic win at Daytona.

A Win And He's In

Harrison Burton has won a spot in NASCAR's postseason - and he did it in dramatic fashion. The 23-year-old racer passed Kyle Busch on the final lap at Daytona to earn his first career Cup Series victory. It was an equally thrilling moment for Burton's father, former NASCAR driver Jeff Burton, who was calling the race for NBC.

The Winner Is Without A Ride Next Year

Harrison Burton has known that this season would be his last for Wood Brothers Racing. But driving the Number 21 to victory lane sure makes things easier. With the victory at Daytona International Speedway, he leaps from 34th in the standings into the 2024 playoffs.

The Season Is Getting Crazy

According to Fox Sports, the win threw the NASCAR Cup Series playoff field into chaos as the two-time Cup champion Busch remains among those in a must-win situation going into the regular-season finale next Sunday at Darington Raceway. The NASCAR regular season comes to an end next weekend at Darlington Raceway.
