There’s nothing better for this Texas girl than some Friday night lights. And, this year attendees to games will notice new measures in place for stadium security Union County Schools. So, what can you expect?

According to WSOC-TV, as part of a new initiative for stadium security Union Schools, body scanners will be in place at all events. And, that begins with home varsity football games for the district. These scanners were made possible by a grant.
Superintendent Dr. Andrew Houlihan said, “We’re adding one additional layer, and that was at the recommendation of law enforcement, which are body scanners.” And, officials for Union County Schools indicate the scanners are only looking for weapons, with staff receiving training on the use of the scanners.
And, the new measures for stadium security Union County Schools have been met with positive sentiment for the most part. Plus, the stadiums continue enforcing clear bag policies, adult supervision at elementary and middle school events and ending ticket sales at the beginning of halftime or mid way through other events.
My son attended high school in the Union County Schools system as a student at Parkwood High School in Monroe, North Carolina. And, I know that although we never experienced any problems at games, some fans during rival matchups could get rowdy. One such incident happened last year with a brawl that stopped the Monroe-Forest Hills game.
So, it’s always a good idea to be safe rather than sorry. It’s sad that’s the world we live in. But, it’s reality, and we have to meet the challenges we’re faced with. As long as we can safely get into a stadium and root our teams on in the spirit of sportsmanship, it’s all good. We’ll just add a couple minutes onto our time frame for entering the stadium.
