A New York City school teacher and single mom has left education for a more lucrative job at Hooters due to the low pay in the education sector.

It Has Been A Big Pay Raise

Allinson Chavez, who was making $24,000 a year as a teacher, can now earn that in 48 days at Hooters. The single mom said, "I was making $1,000 twice a month as an educator; now, I can make $1,000 in two days."

She Is Loving The Change-Up

Despite the stress of her previous job, Chavez finds working at Hooters rewarding and fulfilling.  This move sheds light on the financial struggles faced by teachers in America and the need for better pay in the education sector. Would you quit your job to work at a restaurant making $500 a day?

Taste Of Country said, With it being back-to-school time in America, we are quickly reminded how underfunded some teachers and schools can be here. Notoriously, teachers have low pay, and even have to dish out their own hard-earned money to supply their kids and classrooms with everything needed to have a successful school year.

My Funny Experience At Hooters

I vividly remember taking my wife's late Mom to Hooters once. We like the wings, so we convinced Nana to go. She was in her 70's then. Her only comment was "I can't believe these girls aren't wearing hairnets."
