When you wake up in the morning you likely don't immediately think about doing exercise like walking. However, this can actually be incredibly beneficial to your health according to Healthline.

Get a energy boost

Walking in the morning can actually give you higher energy levels throughout the entire day. It’s even better if you complete this walk outside. Those who walk for 20 minutes outside see a higher increase in energy compared to those who walk inside according to studies.

Another small study also showed that for 18 different women doing 10 minutes of stair walking was actually more energizing than a cup of coffee. So next time you're tired in the morning try starting your day with a walk to boost your energy.

Better mood

Walking in the morning can also have many mood benefits including: higher self-esteem, better general mood, and lower stress, anxiety, and fatigue. For the best results it's good to walk for around 20-30 minutes for at least 5 days every week.

Sleep better

Walking in the morning can actually help you to sleep better at night. A study found that those struggling with mild insomnia and difficulty falling asleep actually slept better when they walked in the morning. When compared, those who exercised in the morning instead of later in the day had much better sleep at night.
