A legendary cartoon voice actor has passed away. The Ninja Turtles were a staple in many people’s early years of life. For some even later years. Now one of the actors has passed away.

Peter Renaday, the voice behind Master Splinter on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated TV show, has died. According to reports, police in Burbank, California, did a wellness check at his home and found him dead. Deadline said news of his death was shared on social media by friend and Turtles costar Townsend Coleman, who voiced the character of Michaelangelo on the immensely popular generational touchstone animated series of the 1980s-’90s.
A Long And Successful Career
Peter’s career spanned six decades, with his big break coming in 1987 with his voicework as Master Splinter. You’ve also heard Peter’s voice as Abraham Lincoln at Disney’s Hall of Presidents and Henry and Max at Disney’s Country Bear Jamboree.
His niece wasn’t sure about how he passed away. She knew that his air conditioner had been out during a hot few weeks in California. She’s not sure if heat was the cause, but it’s believed Peter passed away from natural causes as the medical examiner’s office isn’t involved. Peter Renaday was 89.
