Cucumbers are extremely hydrating. These veggies are actually 96 percent water which means it can boost your daily water intake by a lot! It’s also great to add sliced cucumbers into your water to stay more hydrated from the added nutrients.

Cucumbers are packed full of very important vitamins and minerals. They have eight grams of vitamin C, 49 mc of Vitamin K, potassium, magnesium, protein, and fiber. The usual serving size is one-third of a full cucumber. If you want to get the most nutrients possible, don’t cut off the peel of the cucumber before eating it.

Good for gut health

The high water content in cucumbers makes them incredibly good for gut health. This is because dehydration is one of the main causes of constipation, so getting enough water helps the body work properly. Cucumbers also have pectin, which is a fiber that can also help to keep bowel movements normal and feeds good bacteria in the gut.
