Burger King Million Dollar Whopper Finalists Are Here
Burger King’s Million-Dollar Whopper contest asked fans to submit their ideas for the ultimate Whopper recipe. Now they are ready for customers to test out the three potential winners. A statement for the brand said, “After reviewing more than one million creative and mouthwatering submissions, Burger King and its team of flame-grilled experts have selected the three finalists.”
The Finalist
The creations include the Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper, created by Fabian of California. It includes a quarter-pound “flame-grilled beef patty, topped with pickle ranch, lettuce, fried pickles, bacon, and Swiss cheese on a toasted sesame seed bun. The Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, created by Calvin of California, includes that same beef patty, “topped with maple bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy onions and jalapeños, maple bacon seasoning, bacon, and American cheese on a sesame seed bun and finally, the Mexican Street Corn Whopper, with that beef patty “topped with street corn spread, lettuce, tomato, Southwest seasoned tortilla crisps, and Mexican spicy queso on the sesame seed bun.
When Can You Get One
According to Food And Wine, a Burger King executive said, “The Million Dollar Whopper Contest was all about taking ‘Have It Your Way’ to the next level, and we were blown away by the thought and creativity that went into the Whopper creations that were submitted,” Pat O’Toole, the chief marketing officer at Burger King North America, added. “Selecting just three finalists was no easy task, but we’re confident guests will love these creative, delicious takes on the iconic Whopper sandwich, and can’t wait for them to be available in restaurants this fall.”
