Okay, I knew that broken McDonald's ice cream machines were a thing, I just didn't realize how much. I'm not a "McFlurry" guy and I can count the number of shakes/sundaes I've gotten from there in my life on one hand, So, I've never been affected by the apparent constant breakage of the machines that make this magic happens.

Then, the other night a "Jeopardy" question made fun of it and come to find out there's even a website dedicated to the ongoing phenomenon of broken McDonald's ice cream machines (Mcbroken.com). Well, apparently Mickey D's has had enough and has decided you're not gonna be able to make fun of them anymore!

McDonald’s Ice Cream Machines Will Finally Be Fixed for Good McDonald’s is finally able to fix its biggest problem—their ice cream machines.  A U.S. Copyright Office exemption allows third parties to diagnose and repair commercial food preparation equipment like McDonald's ice cream machines. Before now, only Taylor-trained employees could use these devices. If McDonald's ice cream machine broke down, they'd have to wait for a Taylor-certified technician to diagnose and fix it. Now, anyone with the right training can diagnose and repair the problem. The Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department report high wait times for certified soft serve machine repairmen who charge "over $300 per fifteen minutes." Soft-serve equipment failures cost eateries $625 per day, the filing alleged.

McDonald’s Announces Return of the McRib, Fans Lose Their Minds

McDonald's McRib fans are counting down the days until November 1 after the fast-food giant announced the pending return of the popular sandwich.

McDonald's made the news official tweeting out, "nobody: . me: i think it's time to bring the McRib back 11.1." Per USA Today, "Last year was the first time since 2012 that the sandwich was available nationwide. In October 2019, it was available for a limited run."

Even though the announcement was subtle, the reaction to it certainly was not. Here are some notable responses to the return of the McRib, from fans to even other fast-food brands.

UNO was pumped about the news.

Meanwhile, Arby's opted to throw some MAJOR shade.

Larry The Cable Guy had jokes!

One fan is already preparing for...well...the worst?

Other fans decide to shamelessly proclaim their love for the McRib (and other guilty pleasure foods.)

Some fans took the McRib news as an opportunity for an impromptu therapy moment.

Some got Biblical in response to the McRib news...

...while others prepared to kiss their diet goodbye.

Of course, some weren't happy about the McRib news, like Snack Wrap enthusiasts.

And then there was this fan that decided to come up with a pretty brilliant idea.

At the end of it all, most people seemed pretty pumped about the return of the McRib.
