Yoga can be an incredible thing to do right before bed to relax your body and get good sleep. According to Goodnet, these three yoga poses can help to soothe your nervous system and get your body ready for sleep.

Child’s pose

The child’s pose is probably one of the most well known yoga poses. This pose helps to stretch out the back and hips. To do this pose, start by kneeling on the floor with a yoga mat or carpet so you don't hurt your knees. Sit back on your heels, spread your knees apart, and reach your arms out in front of you while resting your forehead on the floor.

Seated forward bend

This pose is similar to the child’s pose and also has the same positive effects on the nervous system. It helps reduce stress and relaxes the entire body, which makes it perfect to do before bed. To do this pose you begin by sitting on the floor with your legs out in front of you. Slowly bend forward while reaching for your toes, if you can't reach them just rest your arms at the farthest point that you can reach. Bend your entire body down and rest your forehead against your knees if you can bend that far.

Corpse pose

The corpse pose is a great way to relax before you sleep. To do this pose simply lay flat on your back with your arms at your sides and your palms facing the ceiling. This pose can help your body to release tension and relax.
