A lot of perfectionists struggle with procrastination. This problem usually leads to a lot of stress because you want to get the task done properly but struggle to start on it. Thankfully, Goodnet has a few tips on how to beat this troublesome procrastination.

One of the best things you can do to get rid of this type of procrastination is to let go of the idea that your task needs to be perfect from the beginning. Perfectionists tend to have a vision of what they're task should go step by step before they even start so that it turns out perfect. In order to beat procrastination, you need to let go of this idea. The best thing you can do is just start. It's better to finish the task then to not get it done because you were trying to make it perfect.

Getting to the root of your perfectionism is also a good way to break out of the perfectionism procrastination cycle. However, this can take time because it's a lot of inner work that you may even need a therapist to try and get to the bottom of. If you really do want to properly fix your perfectionism issues and learn more about yourself it's definitely worth taking a look within and getting to the root.

Your perfectionism could be caused by the way you were raised or your culture. It could even be something that you picked up from your time in school or just be a part of your personality. No matter what it's caused by, it’s always a win to learn more about yourself. Not only can this help you to get overwhelming tasks done easier, but it can also help you to be kinder and more loving to yourself.
