According to our source, Channel 3 in Charlotte, Gastonia police are looking into the theft of over $4,000 worth of Legos. According to reports the robbery happened between November 20 and December 11. According to wbtv.com, “Employees reported an unknown person would come into the Walmart on East Franklin Boulevard and head to the toy section. There, they would take a toy out of its box and hide the Lego sets in the empty toy box before using the self-checkout machines to scan the toy box used to conceal the sets.”

Apparently this is going on all over the country. Earlier this year in California over $300,000 worth of the toy was reportedly stolen. And in York County, South Carolina two men were reportedly arrested and charged with selling Lego sets. The Gastonia Police says if you know anything about the Lego Set thefts please contact them.
