Riley Green will be heading to Canada soon to kick off his "Damn Country Music Tour," which means his dog, Carl the Cowboy Corgi, will soon be getting his bus bunkmate back, much to the singer’s amusement.

Riley told us in a recent interview, "My buddy that went to school with me that I hired to come on the road with me as my assistant, who doesn’t really do anything, sleeps on the bottom bunk on the bus. And I tell Carl to go get in his bunk, and he does. And he can’t keep him from getting in there because there’s a curtain, and there’s not a door."

He continues, "He’ll push him out, and I’ll be like, ‘Carl, go,’ and he just goes back in there. So, he just has to sleep with my dog every night, and I sleep in a nice bedroom in the back. I think that’s why I hired him, to sleep with my dog.”

The country star played Rodeo Houston days ago and posted about it on Instagram. He wrote, "@rodeohouston y’all did not disappoint.. had a blast singing country music with 60,000 of my buddies. #weouthere #aintmylastrodeo #countrymusic #rodeo."

Green will kick off his "Damn Country Music Tour" this month with a Canadian run of dates, before bringing the tour to the U.S. from May 1 through August 23.

Riley will be rotating a bunch of different people in the two opening slots on his tour, and since he’ll be spending a lot of time around them, he made sure to invite people who will make tour life fun.

Green told us, "'The Damn Country Music Tour' we’re gonna take out Ella Langley. With two songs together, one of them being such a big hit, and then the other one, the title track of my album, it seems really fitting to have her back on the tour with me, and I was glad to get her. And Drake White, who’s a great buddy of mine from right down the road, so I love that we’re gonna have two Alabama artists on tour with me already."
