A new grab-and-go spot opened at Charlotte Douglas International Airport's Concourse A on Aug. 19. The 2,000-square-foot Provisions by Admirals Club stands next to gate A1.

"We are constantly evolving our lounge strategy to meet the needs of our customers," American Airlines' Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden said to WCNC.com. "This new concept provides a needed respite for our customers traveling through one of our biggest hubs."

Inside, travelers find standing tables with minimal seats, keeping foot traffic moving swiftly. Two staff members stay ready to assist with flight issues or travel concerns. The streamlined design puts speed first.

Quick bites fill the menu. Morning offerings run from 6:15 to 11, featuring fresh pastries and fruit. Later hours bring boxed meals and snack options until close at 10:45 p.m. Drinks include canned sodas, coffee, and tea: all packaged to carry out.

"As the airline's second-largest hub, Charlotte plays a significant role in the connectivity of the airline, serving millions of customers every year as they travel to, from, and through CLT to destinations across our global network," said Ralph Lopez Massas, American Airlines' Senior Vice President of CLT Operations.

The same entry rules apply as other Admirals Clubs. Members get in free, while day passes cost $79 or 7,900 miles. Credit card perks and OneWorld status can also grant access to eligible flyers.

This spot caters to rushed connections at the busy Charlotte hub. Guests grab drinks and snacks without slowing down. The stripped-down design keeps things moving.

Doors open daily at 6:15 a.m. and close at 10:45 p.m.
