A major shift hits North Charleston's shopping scene as Shake Shack picks the Tanger Outlets for its first South Carolina spot. The mall's growth spurt brings in Lululemon Athletica, The Children's Place, and a mixed Auntie Anne's-Jamba Juice store.

The NYC-born burger spot will take up 3,500 square feet at the outdoor shopping center. Customers can grab their fix of classic ShackBurgers, crispy chicken bites, those signature crinkle fries, and thick, hand-spun shakes.

“We're thrilled to continue growing Tanger Charleston with the addition of category-leading brands that resonate with our guests,” said Andrea Gervacio, Marketing Director at Tanger Charleston, per ABCNews4.com. “Shake Shack, lululemon, The Children's Place, and Auntie Anne's | Jamba Juice each bring something fresh and in-demand to the center, expanding our retail and dining options and enhancing the experience for shoppers.”

Next to Old Navy, a 5,125-square-foot space will house The Children's Place, stocking clothes from tiny tots to pre-teens. Meanwhile, Lululemon starts small with a pop-up next to Banana Republic and the Play Park.

Sweet meets smooth as Auntie Anne's teams up with Jamba Juice near Zales and Coach. This marks Jamba's fourth spot in the state, adding to shops in Greenville, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach.

Until now, burger fans had to trek to Charlotte for their nearest Shake Shack fix. The chain's big plans include 80 to 90 new spots in 2025.

Since 2006, the 382,000-square-foot mall has stood proud near Interstate 526 and International Boulevard. Top brands like Sephora, Victoria's Secret, Kate Spade, and Pandora make up its 85-store lineup.

While exact dates stay under wraps, these additions will roll out as workers put the final touches on the mall's fresh look.

The North Charleston site joins Tanger's strong presence in South Carolina, where shoppers already hit their spots in Myrtle Beach and near Hilton Head Island.
