The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra plans six holiday shows between late November and December. Performances span Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas.

"Many of these concerts have become cherished Charlotte traditions, bringing families together year after year to share in the magic of the season," the press release said, per QC News.

Home Alone in Concert kicks off Nov. 28 and 29 at Belk Theater. Majestic Brass & Organ comes Nov. 30 at First United Methodist Church.

Handel's Messiah runs Dec. 5-7 at Knight Theater. Holiday Pops: A Carolina Christmas hits the stage Dec. 12-14 at the same spot.

Festival of Lights: A Hanukkah Concert happens Dec. 18 at Knight Theater. Cirque de Noel wraps things up Dec. 19-21, also at Knight Theater.

The orchestra scheduled shows across several weeks to fit various holiday celebrations. Knight Theater hosts four out of six programs.

Home Alone in Concert pairs the movie with live music. Musicians perform the score while the film plays on screen.

Majestic Brass & Organ shifts to First United Methodist Church. It's the only performance not held at a theater.

Handel's Messiah gets three nights in early December at Knight Theater. Symphony orchestras keep this work on rotation each year.

Holiday Pops: A Carolina Christmas also spans three performances. It brings local holiday music and customs to life.

Festival of Lights: A Hanukkah Concert offers one night honoring the Jewish holiday. Only two shows in the series run for a single night.

Cirque de Noel closes the season with three performances through Dec. 21.
