Friday's win featured 22 points from Brandon Miller. Kon Knueppel added 20, according to ESPN. The victory pushed the franchise to 42-36 and secured a spot in the postseason picture as the regular season winds down.
Charlotte Hornets Head to Postseason
“Postseason basketball returning to Charlotte is incredibly special,” says Hornets President of Business Operations Shelly Cayette‑Weston. “Our fans across Charlotte and the Carolinas have shown unwavering passion and pride for this team, and their support has fueled us all season long. Now we need them more than ever. We’re calling on our fans to help protect the Hive – fill the seats, bring the energy, and help create the best homecourt advantage possible.”
The organization set a franchise record for sellouts at Spectrum Center in March, according to Axios. Twenty-three sellouts happened this season. Attendance exceeded an average of 18,000 fans per game. Ticket demand is expected to be high given the numbers.
The NBA's play-in tournament is scheduled for April 14-17. The first round of the playoffs starts April 18. The squad sits in eighth place in the Eastern Conference after Sunday's win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. As long as they finish above the ninth seed at a minimum, hosting a game would be possible depending on various results.
A run of playoff dates in Uptown would boost nearby restaurants, bars, and hotels. Game nights spill over into packed patios. Late-night reservations fill up, and lobbies get busy.
Ticketmaster advises fans to update their account information and payment details in advance, according to Hoodline. Fans should be logged in when sales open to improve their odds. Presales, dynamic pricing, and fast sellouts are expected, and verified resale platforms will serve as the main backup option if initial inventory runs out.
