Reward Being Offered After 3 Goats Found Killed On South Carolina Family Farm

A $5,000 reward has been offered up for information after 3 goats were found killed on a farm in Laurens South Carolina. The Laurens Police Department is investigating the killing. The killing which the department described as "heartless" took place at a farm off of S. Harper within the city limit of Laurens. The goats were family pets and the press release posted by the Police Department says the act has "left the community in shock". Evidence is clear that this was an act of violence committed against the goats and not an attack carried out by another animal. Chief Grounsell of the Laurens Police Department said, "This ruthless act is taken very seriously by our department. We are actively seeking the cooperation of the community to help us bring those responsible to justice." According to the press release the killing occurred sometime overnight between Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and early morning Wednesday, November 22, 2023. The department is leaving no stone unturned. They are conducting door-to-door visits for information and meticulously reviewing digital surveillance camera footage from the area. "Your cooperation is crucial in advancing this investigation and ensuring that those accountable for this heinous act are held responsible," Grounsell emphasized. They're offering a $5,000 reward for valuable information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) involved. The public is urged to report any leads so that justice can be brought.
