Charlie & Debbie

This was tough.  We were tasked with writing up a new "Bio" and it's never easy to decide what to say.  We could tell you that we've been driving you home on Country 1037 since March of 2006 and have loved every minute.  We could tell you about our son or we could update you on our domestic situation.  After many years living in Union County, North Carolina (Indian Trail and Monroe), in late 2001 we became residents "across the border" in Indian Land, South Carolina.  However, what could we say that could explain what listening to us is like?  Wait, how about this...

Not long ago, we were getting ready to go to bed and I looked at Debbie and asked, “What is your biggest fantasy right now?” She immediately got this HUGE smile (and I must admit, I was smiling in anticipation of what her answer MIGHT be), and said, simply, “Separate vacations.” That, in a nutshell, is the “The Charlie and Debbie Show.” Along with the best music on the planet, some great giveaways, and of course your phone calls and interaction with our shenanigans.  Every afternoon for us is like sitting around and laughing with our best friends and family because that’s what you are to us.

We’ve been fortunate in our career to be honored with national awards both individually (CMA Broadcast Personalities of the Year), and as a team (ACM Major Market Station of the Year with Country 1037) for what we do. However, none of that means near as much as when we are approached by someone who says, “You made me laugh on the worst day of my life;” or, “I look forward to getting in the car each afternoon to be with you guys on the way home.” When we say on the air, “Thank you for letting us be with you,” we mean it. Thanks for the honor and privilege of being a part of your life. It’s something we never take for granted and look forward to every afternoon.
