American Cancer Society Is Making Strides To Boost Cancer Thrivers
It’s highly likely if you’re listening to this interview, you know some who has been impacted by cancer. In fact, according to the American Cancer Society or ACS, there is a 1 in 8 chance that a woman will develop breast cancer sometime in her life. Breast cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death in women.
However, there is some good news! ACS says there are more than 4 million breast cancer survivors alive today in the United States. And the survival rate for female breast cancer is 90 percent for all stages combined. Listen in to one of those THRIVERS, as well as the woman behind the effort to bring in the dollars to support research and a retired physician who has made fighting cancer a life mission.
