Heart’n Soul Hospice Delivers Compassionate End of Life Care

Fran Marie sat down with Dr. Kevin Allison about minorities deserving a high level of care provided by a minority-owned Hospice company.

Mecklenburg County Commissioner, George Dunlap has issued a proclamation “Declaring RACISM a Public Health Crisis” That’s why this particular show needs to spread around town.

It’s been over 16 years since the last Hospice agency was approved in Mecklenburg County. We need Heart’n Soul Hospice in our State! Heart’n Soul Hospice is free to their clients, and that might rub other Hospice organizations the wrong way. At the end of life, we all deserve a compassionate transition without worry or pain no matter how much money we have in the bank.

Did you know that out of the 200+ hospice agencies in North Carolina, ZERO is minority owned and operated? That’s why we’re sad that Heart’N Soul’s petition was denied by the State Health Coordinating Council stating that minority utilization is a problem nationally and in Mecklenburg /North Carolina.
