Carova Beach, North Carolina

Carova Beach is located at the northernmost outpost of the Outer Banks. Being so far out of the central Outer Banks, it gives you a sense of calmness you cannot find anywhere else in the area. There are no hotels or stores, just vacation homes, and you’ll need a 4x4 vehicle to get there because the roads are just sand. Talk about your own little oasis. While you’re there, look out for those wild horses roaming the beaches.
