Welcome to Something To Hang Your Hat On

Well hey there! I’m so glad you’re here.

By signing up, you’ve just grabbed hold of something steady in a world that can feel anything but. This isn’t just another newsletter. It’s a front porch kind of space — where real stories are shared, encouragement is honest, and you're reminded that you don’t have to have it all together to keep moving forward.

I’m about heart over hype and showing up even when life’s a little messy. If that sounds like your kind of place, you’re in the right spot.

What Happens Next:

In just a bit, you’ll be getting an email from me.  If it’s not in your inbox, check your Promotions or Spam folder, sometimes good things take the back road.

A Quick To-Do List:

Once you find the email, there are a few important things I need you to do.

  1. Add our email address to your “Contacts List.”  Another easy way to make sure emails end up directly in your inbox.
  1. If the email ended up in your Promotions or Spam folder
  • For Gmail (mobile): Tap the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the email, then click “Move to” and the “Primary.”
  • For Gmail (desktop): Click on the three dots and click on “Add to Contacts List.”  Then close the email and drag it to the "Primary” tab.
  • For Apple Mail: At the top of the email click on our email address and tap “Add to VIPs.”
  • For Outlook: Under Safe senders and domains, enter the email address or domain you want to add, and select Add and then select Save.
  • For Yahoo:  Open the Spam folder. If you don't see the Spam folder, click “More” below the Sent folder.  Select our newsletter.  Click “Not Spam” to move the message into your inbox, and future newsletters from us should be delivered to the inbox.
  • For Comcast/Xfinity: Click on the gear icon on the top-right corner. Click Email Settings. On the left menu, under Mail, choose Advanced Settings. On the Advanced Settings page, check the box next to “Use email safe list.” Click Add an email address. Enter an email address and click Add. To enable the email safe list, click Use email safe list.If the checkbox is checked, the Email Safe List is enabled.
  • For AOL:  Open the Spam folder.  Select the email. Click “Not Spam.” Future messages from this sender will be delivered to the inbox.

Something to Hang Your Hat On is here to be that steady note in your week, honest, kind, and just the reminder you need that you’re doing better than you think.

Whether you're chasing a big dream, holding onto your peace, or just trying to make it through the day, this space is for you. So go ahead and settle in. You’ve got a place at the table.
