Drake White: Can We Get A Few More Campfires?
It’s not everyday that artists talk openly about their personal brands, but that’s not stopping Drake White and his band The Big Fire.
The “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” singer has Kenny Chesney and others in mind as he seeks to carve out his own niche. “When you think of Kenny Chesney you think of a beach, like you think of this brand,” Drake says through his record label. “When you think of Drake White and The Big Fire … I want folks to think of a camp site of a campfire and the camaraderie [of sitting] around that fire because that’s where I first started learning to entertain people and play guitar.”
“Makin’ Me Look Good Again”
Everyone likes campfires, after all. “[Sitting around] a good fire in a good, comfortable chair with a guitar picker and a good voice … I don’t know many people that would turn that down or say that’s really not for me,” Drake adds. “It’s really where things take place for me and it’s a magical spot. So I want my brand to be associated with that campfire; with that flame. The band’s called The Big Fire, the album’s called Spark and I love sitting around a fire.”
