Garth Brooks Buys Everything On Couple’s Wedding Gift Registry
That lovable Garth Brooks guy is at it again. He and wife Trisha Yearwood have made good on a promise to buy everything on a fan couple’s wedding gift registry, according to the Daily Advertiser.
Jude Blanchard and Jamie Guillot attended one of Garth’s concerts last month in Lafayette, Louisiana with neon signs in tow, one of which read “Best Week Ever: Garth This Friday, Our Wedding Next Friday.” Garth spotted the sign from the stage and chatted with the couple for a moment before serenading them with “To Make You Feel My Love.”
More impressively, however, he asked what was on their gift registry “because me and Ms. Yearwood, we’ll get it for you.” The couple handed over an invitation to view their registry but didn’t expect the megastar to do anything with it.
Last week he did. Packages – yes packages, plural – arrived at the newlyweds’ home Wednesday (7/26). Inside were lounge chairs, a KitchenAid mixer, an iron, a meat-grinder, patio lights and several other items.
“It’s a crazy amount of stuff,” Jamie tells the newspaper. “I don’t know what I thought he was going to send us, but this is just beyond what we were expecting … I’m really humbled.”
