Charlotte Announces Big 2025 Event Schedule: FIFA World Cup, Music Festivals Lead Packed Year
Bank of America Stadium will host FIFA Club World Cup games in June 2025. This worldwide soccer competition headlines a busy lineup of 15 major events coming to Charlotte next year.
The year starts with the Queen’s Feast in January. Set-price meals at local restaurants run between $30 and $50. “It’s a perfect time for diners to put something new on their culinary plate,” said Bruce Hensley, a partner in Hensley Fontana Public Relations, to Charlotte Business Journal.
Spring brings creativity to the streets. Charlotte SHOUT! fills downtown with free performances by local and international artists. Then, from April 25-27, BOOM Charlotte takes over University City with a blend of dance, music, performances, and spoken word.
The music kicks up in May at Lovin’ Life Music Fest, featuring Gwen Stefani and Dave Matthews Band. Race fans then pack Charlotte Motor Speedway for the roaring Coca-Cola 600.
When summer arrives, top soccer teams face off during the FIFA tournament. As the weather cools in August, runners take over city streets for the Around the Crown 10K.
At Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the Yiasou Greek Festival brings Mediterranean food and culture to September. People can sample traditional dishes while enjoying local performances.
Holiday celebrations brighten the end of the year. The Southern Christmas Show turns The Park Expo into a shopping paradise with 400 vendors from Nov. 13-23. The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade wraps up November’s festivities with floats and music.
From sports to culture, food to fun, Charlotte’s 2025 lineup offers something for everyone. Many events still need to lock in their schedules and prices.
