There’s a new hospital in South Carolina that is joining the Piedmont Medical Center family. That’s state-of-the-art technology, like the Da Vinci Robotic System. Many gynecologists use the system to extract fibroid tumors that are especially prevalent in African-American women. Hear from OB-GYN Dr. James Hubbard. who has performed more than 500 robotic cases and is the first doctor at Piedmont Medical Center to conduct a robotic surgery. We also talked to his patient, LaVette McClean who initially refused surgery, but eventually underwent the procedure with the Da Vinci robotic system.
