This Sunday’s (2/5) GRAMMY Awards could be a big one for a few different country stars. Of course, Miranda Lambert, nominated in all four country categories, could sweep the entire category. Regardless of who wins, there will be great performances from Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, and a tribute to the late Loretta Lynn by Kacey Musgraves.
While we don’t know who will win each awrd, we can speculate what could happen that would be recording making at the GRAMMYS and in country music.
The 65th GRAMMY Awards will air live on Sunday (2/5) at 8 PM ET. As we know, many of the country categories will be handed out in a pre-ceremony, which you can watch at grammy.com.

Best Country Solo Performance
Maren Morris could tie Carrie Underwood as the most-awarded female artist in this category (2 wins) and become the 2nd most awarded overall after Chris Stapleton (3 wins) if she wins for “Circles Around This Town.” Morris previously won for “My Church” in 2017.

Best Country Song
Songwriter Lori McKenna could break her tie with songwriter Josh Kear as the most-awarded songwriter in the Best Country Song category if she wins her 4th trophy in the category for her collaboration with Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me.” McKenna won 3 times in the past with “Girl Crush,” “Humble and Kind,” & “Crowded Table.”

Best Country Album
Miranda Lambert could break her 3rd place tie with Lady A, Kacey Musgraves & Roger Miller if she wins her 3rd trophy in the Best Country Album category for Palomino. It would also make her the most awarded solo female artist in the category. Lambert won 2 times in the past for Wildcard & Platinum.

Taylor Swift
