The 2023 Grammy nominations were announced today (11/15), and many country stars got nominated, including Miranda Lambert, who scored four nominations, and Luke Combs, who was nominated for three Grammys, including Best Country Album for his newly CMA-winning Album of the Year “Growin’ Up.”

But, as always, the Grammys don’t usually get it right. Here, we take a look at what we believe are the biggest Grammy snubs of 2023.

  • 5 - Kane Brown

    Kane Brown

Kane’s album “Different Man” has been getting great reviews and has a duet with Blake Shelton on the title track. It is surprising that the album and Kane didn’t get any nominations for it.

  • 4 - Little Big Town

    Little Big Town

Little Big Town is consistently solid, and their new “Mr. Sun” album came out in time for Grammy consideration. It is odd not to see them in the Best Duo/Group category this year. They have been in the category steadily since 2011. They won the category in 2013 and 2018.

  • 3 - Thomas Rhett

    Thomas Rhett

Thomas’ album “Where We Started” should have made it to the Best Country Album category, especially with his title track duet with Katy Perry.

  • 2 - Lainey Wilson

    Lainey Wilson

While her new album “Bell Bottom Country” did not qualify for a Grammy as it came out in late October, Lainey Willson has been everywhere, and her country star has been steadily rising. The all-genre Best New Artist category rarely includes country but her name should have been there this year.

  • 1 - Carrie Underwood

    Carrie Underwood

Carrie is a Grammy darling and has won eight Grammys in her career. She has been nominated for sixteen Grammy awards. We are stumped and wonder why her new “Denim and Rhinestones” album and songs didn’t get any Grammy love this year.
