Reba’s Fail-Proof Method Of Getting Through Hard Times
Reba McEntire has experienced hard times in her life, one of the hardest of which came in 2015 when she divorced Narvel Blackstock, her husband of 26 years and longtime manager. She gets through them, though, with her faith.
She explained in 2016. “The thing that got me through this change in life, is number one, God,” she told CMT in 2016. “I prayed every day to help me have the strength to move one foot in front of the other, and continue on with what I’m supposed to be doing … and then with my team and my friends, my family, my girlfriends.”
“Back To God”
Reba shared her faith with others this year with the release of Sing It Now: Songs Of Faith & Hope, which recently earned the famous red-head her first Dove Award nomination for the song “Back To God.” She reiterated the importance of faith in her life in a recent interview released by her record label. “Without my faith I would be a hollow shell,” she offered. “My faith fills me. If I feel a little down, I know that I just haven’t cranked that up today. And I wake up in the morning thanking the Lord for the good night’s sleep and asking the Holy Spirit to help me and guide me on everything I do, and ask the Lord, ‘What do you want me to do today? Who can I help?'”
Reba’s best “help” might just come through her music, and she’s still working hard to deliver. Catch Reba, Brooks & Dunn Together In Vegas At The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace six more times between now and the end of the year. Check dates and buy tickets here.
