The town of Boone, NC has declared a covid emergency. According to the town council, it is because of rising cases among the unvaccinated due to the delta variant.
According to the News Observer, This all goes into effect at 5 p.m. Tuesday. It appears to be pretty much a repeat of last year’s covid rules. This one includes children as young as two. If you have a two-year-old, you know how well that is going to go over.
The declaration says “Watauga County’s and North Carolina’s daily case counts and hospitalizations for COVID-19 are quickly increasing due to the Delta Variant, which spreads at least twice as easily as previous variants.” Is this just the beginning? How long before the rest of NC city councils jump on board?
