NASCAR Legend Tony Stewart Loses Teammate To Road Rage Tragedy
Taste of Country is reporting that Nascar Icon Tony Stewart took to social media this weekend to mourn the death of racing driver Ashlea Albertson. She lost her life in an accident caused by a road rage incident in Indiana on Friday.
Tony wrote:
“@AshDogRacing had an infectious personality and could light up any room. She was a great race car driver that was involved in a road rage accident and lost her life,” he adds. “In the past, I’ve also gotten caught up in road rage. I hope that we can honor Ashlea by controlling what we can control on the highway. Losing her is a sobering reminder of how precious life is. Please join me in keeping her family and friends in your prayers.”
Ashely drove for Tony Stewart Racing in the TQ Midget cars. News reports say that Albertson was a passenger in a white GMC Terrain that was struck by a black Chevy Malibu.
It appears that it was a road rage accident with the drivers refusing to let each other pass. Investigators say the driver of the Malibu started to change lanes to cut the Terrain off which caused the deadly collision.
Ashley Albertson was only 24 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends, and everyone at Tony Stewart Racing.
